Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
All Katy can do is survive.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Together, they can face anything.
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?
And will they even be together?

REVIEW: 4 stars

I recently realized my lack of reviews for the book’s I read in 2016 – I never thought I’d be so busy to miss a review. However, Origin is one that needsto be reviewed. This book was probably one of my favourite books in the entire Lux series due to it’s high intensity, high stakes, and high anticipation – especially in Katy and Daemon’s romance.
After reading the third book in the series about three years prior to this one and I felt I had tortured myself by waiting long enough for this book. I actually read the fifth one directly after this read too because the series is addictive.
Jennifer L. Armentrout does a really good job of creating an enticing world that I am really upset to have to say good-bye to. I highly recommend this book – Armentrout creates a desire in the reader to never stop, keeping them up until 3am. Once I finished the book, I was unable to sleep for another two hours from the adrenaline.
If you like Jennifer L. Armentrout’s other series, or paranormal romance, please give this series a read. I can’t imagine someone not enjoying at least some of this series.

Daemon = cute, romantic, sexy as hell; Katy = strong, passionate, funny.

I agree 100%: these books are so addicting! I think I read this whole series in the course of a month because I just couldn’t read anything else until I finished the series! I wasn’t too keen on letting the series go, either. I love the witty conversations and the characters but all good things must come to an end, right? Lovely review!
